Lidiany Cerqueira, PhD.
Dr. Lidiany Cerqueira is a Senior Software Engineer and Computer Science researcher working at the intersection of software engineering and human values. With over 15 years of industry experience and a PhD in Computer Science, her research interests include software engineering, human-centered computing, and empirical research.
She is a pioneer in the empirical study of empathy as a core human factor in software engineering, examining its effects on productivity, software quality, developers’ well-being, collaboration, and mental health. She has published in leading venues, including ACM TOSEM and IEEE Software.
